Guillermo del Toro creator of the well-known not only making difficult subjects, dark production, such as "Pan's Labyrinth (2006)," but also of the more spectacular and entertaining images the likes of "Pacific Rim (2013)" and "Hellboy (2004)" . The new film, already recognized, the Mexican director, "Crimson Peak. Blood Hill (2015)" belongs to the first of these groups, perfectly fitting into the framework of the climate in the style of horror, endorsed the name del Toro, "The Orphanage (2007)." At the very beginning of the creator serve us a foretaste of things to come, when the bloody heroine Edith (Mia Wasikowska) talks about his ability to see spirits, evoking childhood memories. After the tragic death of his mother, who died of cholera, the girl visited her spirit, coming with an enigmatic statement: "Beware of Crimson Peak". Many years later, the girl is trying to be a writer, but the emergence of a baronet in mysterious Thomas Sharpe (Tom Hiddleston) turns her life upside down.

The further development of events allows us to trace the fate of the characters and find out how Edith was in the starting point of the film.

Although the story is not anything special surprises and there is also a very original, but it is not a major strength of the film.

We are dealing here with a real visual treat climate, which in fact has already become a firm feature del Toro. The rear of the shares in the nineteenth century gave scope for artists and costume design, and we must admit that failure to comply with his task brilliantly. The same is the case with specami special effects, who can not have so much work to them, mentioned earlier, colleagues, but they created by them ghosts are impressive and in some scenes can bring shivers on my back. Excellent visuals supported by good music creates a unique atmosphere, which, combined with outstanding playing on the emotions of the viewer, allows you to forget about certain naivete and niedoróbkach scenario. It also helps to great acting, making the figures presented are authentic and their fate remain indifferent to us. He captivated me the vision of the director and with the heroes experienced their story, without getting bored with it even for a moment.

Note, however, that the poetic and fairy design implies here quite slow pace of action, which not everyone can like. As befits del Toro, the film moves heavy horror themes, and despite the areola, is primarily a drama. This does not mean, of course, that horror fans will not find anything here for themselves. In addition to the carefully constructed sense of tension and anxiety we have a classic sound frightening, but fortunately properly balanced and not too intrusive, and for fans of thrills even some brutal and quite graphically illustrated scenes. On the "Crimson Peak," I went to the cinema, not knowing virtually nothing about him, so I did not have any special expectations. I got emotional, not cinema light of mystery and ghosts in the background that hooked me from the start and made the two hours have passed almost unnoticed. Guillermo del Toro has once again proved his skills, and I am looking forward to his next work.
