In the sixties of the last century in the United States a funny series "Get Smart!" Was broadcast, which here and there were breaking popularity records. Director Peter Segal, known for creating a comedy like "50 first dates" or "Fooling the key", decided to refresh the story told in the series a bit and as a result of his work viewers can currently see the comedy titled "Get Smart" on the big screen. The film tells the story of the sympathetic agent Maxwell Smart, who every day is considered a wonderful and outstanding analyst of American intelligence CONTROL. However, one day, as a result of certain events, one of Smart's biggest dreams comes true - he becomes a full-fledged agent and soon embarks on a real action. More specifically, Maxwell has to face the sinister organization behind the mysterious name KAOS.

Its bosses want to take power over the world at all costs by spreading fear, death and chaos. Smart does not have much experience, after all, he has worked as an analyst before and has never been in the field on a mission. The head of CONTROL decides not to send the inexperienced Maxwell alone to the mission and appoints him a female helper. She is a sexy agent 99, who together with Smart must at all costs thwart KAOSU. In addition, I add that a pair of agents uncovers a conspiracy of a certain Siegfried, who, along with his faithful friend Shtarker wants to earn a huge fortune using a lethal weapon. The heroes are facing a difficult task to complete. From the plot of "Get Smart" it is easy to conclude that he is a hybrid of a spy movie and a full-fledged comedy. The filmmakers decided not to bomb the viewer with seemingly funny situations every now and then, and they focused more on creating humorous dialogues.

At this point I will mark the strongest point of the film, i.e. the mentioned dialogues. They are very intelligent, even elegant, and they laugh and combine with the script into one logical whole. The humor presented in "Get Smart" is at a high level, although I personally did not roll laughing on the floor, but actually giggling happily every now and then.

The film also deems the viewer with a large dose of action, which of course is given in a light style, so that someone does not accidentally find "Get Smart" a serious action movie. In general, the production is characterized by an efficiently implemented script, excellent dialogues and a few really funny gags. At this time, the authors deserve a long standing applause, because nowadays it is easy to create coarse dialogues, presenting the humor of men from under a beer booth. Maxwell Smart is played by Steve Carell, known for his role in "Evan Almighty" or "40-year-old virgin". This actor did a really good job, creating a very nice and characteristic character. His humorous dialogues are also of a high standard, as are his great facial expressions. Anne Hathaway did quite well at his side, she played the role of a sexy agent 99 and in fact I liked the scenes with her (and not only because of Hathaway's pretty beauty). Terence Stamp also played quite well, which in "Get Smart" played the role of a villain, ie Siegfried. The other actors did not disappoint either. In general, I will say that the acting in this movie is on a good, even level. The people responsible for creating a climatic set or quite good effects also deserve a round of applause. Equally well, the soundtrack came out very well, matching the characteristic climate of "Get Smart". To sum up, the authors of the film managed to create a fun, elegant, atmospheric and addictive comedy that will surely appeal to viewers. Despite these advantages, "Get Smart" is not a breakthrough production or a milestone.

It is simply a solid and efficiently made film, which, however, does not surprise with innovative solutions. best free movie streaming sites Despite this, it is worth watching it and laughing a bit. An additional advantage is the participation of Anne Hathaway, who very sweetly turned out to be Agent 99.
