Crime Movies are doing in our time, perhaps the greatest career. He created them every year at least a dozen, most of them are usually plain, so that it be able to describe crap. They are terribly predictable, boring or sometimes completely incoherent. I watched a lot of these kryminalików that arise series, the heroines are mostly young women who fall into (usually) on the trail of some scandal or crime. Also they fall in love with the main suspect, who at the end almost always turns out to be the culprit of all horrors. He's just a scheme, accompanying the low-budget, television productions. "Donnie Brasco" is by no means television movie, and the more weak.
Mike Newell, the British creator, is set on a par with other top British artists such as Stephen Frears and Anthony Minghella.
As thrillers go round
Quite rightly, he absolutely deserves it.
This proves his subsequent films, such as very good "Pushing Tin" with John Cusack and filming "Harry Potter", considered the best part of the film. These achievements demonstrate the potential of a director who, however, no longer belongs to the young.
Between the alpha and omega
Recently he began to pit, which is clearly convinced, just watching the average picture "Love in the Time of Cholera," which was also an adaptation. Unfortunately, not so very successful. "Donnie Brasco" I consider the best image in his career, he is perhaps the best, as evidenced by reviews of other, more experienced critics. FBI agent Joe Pistone (one of the best roles of Johnny Depp), receives extremely difficult task from their superiors harsh. It has to penetrate into one of the gangster.
Joe bends under the weight of the task, but performs them. Befriends a mafia man, Benjamin "Lefty" Ruggiero ( "Lewus" - Al Pacino). Slowly gaining respect in his eyes, and soon introduces him to the gangster mafia take. Joe, of course, eager to use this to get important information to their employers. But he feels remorse for Ruggiero. After all, this is his friend.

Meanwhile Mafiosi slowly begin to suspect that their ranks running plug. Joe slowly begins to be in mortal danger. Fears, however, even more, that "Lefty" finds out about his cooperation with the FBI ... Newell tells his story very carefully, showing on-screen transformation of the main character with an experienced and fair beyond measure agent who knows his profession in deprived any qualms pełnokrwistego gangster, who with each passing day more and more pregnant dual role. It also has before him a difficult decision: to sink his mob colleagues or myself. And Johnny Depp almost perfectly fits the role emotionally torn agent who forgets to make things worse for your children and a loving wife. "Donnie Brasco" is the story authentic. You can see it on the screen. The film is one of the best crime dramas I've seen, and I've seen a lot of them, which is very good evidence of that image. And Al Pacino, this time not as a boss but as ordinary Mafia bleak. I must admit that this change did not come to him bad. Genius, a genius and genius again. And mainly it is worth seeing for the "Donnie Brasco." I heartily recommend ..
