Minecraft 118 Will Be Available This Month But Three Important Features Are on Hold

We knew it was coming because the snapshot betas were getting smaller and smaller. But Mojang has now made it official. The Minecraft 1.18 release date, including all the Caves & Cliffs Part 2 features, is set to go live at the end of November. The update will be available across every platform Minecraft supports and will bring us numerous new biomes, revamped world generation and more.



Minecraft 1.18 will be available on November 30. The Java Edition update will be available on Windows, Mac, and Linux PCs as well as the Bedrock Edition will launch on - deep breath - PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android, and Windows 10 and 11 PCs.



The update introduces new world generation and enhanced cave systems and candles. However, as was previously announced some features were pushed back from 1.18 - and they aren't included in 1.19 (also known as The Wild update) either, as the devs have confirmed. Servers



Archaeology, bundles and goat horns "have been put on hold", as the devs explain in the announcement. "They are not being put on hold, we just had to put them on hold for now.
