We've had an earlier experimental snapshot for Minecraft's next major update, but now the regular 1.19 snapshot series is out with snapshot 22w11a. This means that Minecraft developers at Mojang are focused on the Wild update, and you can expect weekly beta versions of Minecraft: Java Edition where you can play with those new features before they're released.

The latest snapshot lets you play around with the Deep Dark biome, frogs and tadpoles as well as mangroves, mud blocks, and the Sculk systems. Additionally, you can check out 3D audio directional within the sound settings, an option which "is best enjoyed with headphones".

Sculk and Deep Dark were already implemented in the 1.19 snapshot in February. However Frogs are beginning to shine. It's uooka time Frogs can "jump", "swim", "walk on land", "croak", and "eat small magma cubes which causes a froglight block fall". This is just normal frog stuff. You can find the full patch notes over on the official website.
