Minecraft Launcher Will Not Install From Microsoft Store

From Chess Moves
Jump to: navigation, search

I've tried putting in Minecraft Launcher for days now, with no success. I've tried all the sometimes recommended methods (e.g. windows updates, wsreset, reregistering the store, and so on.).

I'm all the way down to the point the place I found out where to find the logs to attempt to get some extra *technical* help.....

Symptoms:

* Downloading worked superb

* When on the Minecraft Launcher web page and clicking the "Install" button, nothing (!) occurs

* When within the library listing, and clicking the "cloud" icon within the Minecraft Launcher row, it starts spinning for some time, then stops and reverts to the "cloud" icon

Looking at the logs, here is my total impression:

* There's an terrible lot of "Error: The operation accomplished successfully.", which sounds a bit bizarre (although is probably okay)

* There is a bunch of "Error: Unknown HResult Error code: 0xefffffff"

* A single "Error: A specified logon session does not exist. It may have already got been terminated."

* A bunch of "Error: Unknown HResult Error code: 0x89245104"

* A bunch of "Error: The parameter is incorrect."

Notes:

* I am a software program engineer myself (which is why after following multiple 20-steps-to-fix-microsoft-retailer or whatevers, I began to search for logs as an alternative), so some insights into how to fix these specific, apparent mentions of errors within the logs could be very a lot appretiated.

* I've included the full logs from one attempt down below, and replaced some stuff that sounded like account IDs etc. by REDACTED_FOR_Privateness

* Logs are retrieved from the Event Viewer

* If there's community help Based mostly ON THE ERRORS FROM THE LOGS, that will in fact be tremendously appreciated, but I'm fairly sure that at this level, the assistance must be from actual Microsoft workers, as a result of only they will have access to the code (or a minimum of know who to contact, realizing software program engineers, they are not exposing themselves in any methods to end users ;) )

* Precise windows version is Microsoft Home windows 10 Pro, construct Version 10.0.19044 Construct 19044

* Hardware is a Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Excessive
