Technoblade Minecraft YouTube Creator Dies Aged 23

Technoblade Techblade, the most popular Minecraft YouTuber, has passed away aged 23 following a battle with cancer.

Technoblade his father, who is the creator, posted a touching video to YouTube on Thursday entitled "so long geeks". It included an e-mail from Technoblade. The video was conceived by his family during his final months, but it was written by Technoblade just eight hours before his death the father of the creator said. The rapper disclosed his real name in the message: Alex.

"Hello everyone, Technoblade here. If you're watching this. I am dead," he wrote in the message, read by his father. "Thank you to all of you who have supported my work throughout the years. If I had another hundred lives I'm sure I'd prefer to be Technoblade again every single time since those were the most enjoyable years of my life."

Technoblade, who has 10.8 millions YouTube subscribers, posted his August 2021 cancer diagnosis to them on YouTube.

Technoblade's family released an apology at the end of the video on Thursday.

"We, the Technoblade family wanted to let you know how the much he loved and admired his fans and colleagues." Technoblade was an online community from its beginnings. He was always looking for ways to delight and honor his followers," it said.

Technoblade's fans and friends have posted more deeply touching tributes to him on the internet. Some are fellow creators, others collaborate, and others have been following Technoblade for many years.
