It's been a few months since we first learned about Minecraft Earth, the augmented virtual reality version of Mojang's game that lets you experience the real world a playground packed with your blocksy creations. It promised a beta release of the game to be available this summer , and now, along with a new trailer, the company says it will launch on iOS within the next two weeks with Android following "soon thereafter."

After witnessing live gameplay during WWDC last month, the release of iOS-first is not surprising. While this new trailer has lots of details on the game's gameplay and what it will be like, interested players might be interested in revisiting the Apple demo to get a impressions of what it will be like to play in a virtual Minecraft world with their friends. The virtual world will overlay the real world.

To be one of the first players with access, you'll need sign up for the game right here (you'll require a device with at minimum iOS 10 or Android 7 to be able to play, according to the FAQ). Access to the game is restricted as they adjust the load to the servers. However you must be logged in to continue playing. If you do not play for seven consecutive days, someone else will get your slot. You'll require an account on Microsoft or Xbox Live account to register after which once you've signed up there's nothing else to do except wait, and get ready to build.

Are you thinking that life is great? It's about time to change that. BETA! A handful of locations will be getting the Minecraft Earth closed beta. Find out what to expect and register to be a part of the fun! MINECRAFT SERVERS
